What’s Invisalign®?
Invisalign® is a comfortable, nearly invisible way to straighten your teeth while looking attractive and professional throughout the entire process. In contrast to potentially sharp and highly visible traditional metal-and-wire braces, Invisalign® aligners are a graduated set of clear plastic trays that fit snugly over your teeth, gently nudging them into better alignment over time.
The Invisalign® aligners are made of SmartTrack®, a proprietary composite material. SmartTrack is soft and comfortable, yet rigid enough to rotate and move your teeth to better, more aesthetic, and more functional positions.

How do I get Invisalign®?
If your teeth and gums are healthy enough for Invisalign®, Dr. Solway and his staff create 3-D digital images of your teeth in their current position. Using their expert knowledge, they create a plan for your final alignment. They then send this information to the Invisalign® lab, which creates your customized aligner trays.
You visit Eastpointe Family Dental Center every six weeks so that Dr. Solway and his staff can verify that your aligners are working. You change the trays yourself every two weeks.
What if my teen forgets to change an Invisalign® tray?
Eastpointe Family Dental Center offers Invisalign Teen™ to help your teens or other family members keep track of when it’s time to change to a new aligner. These special aligners feature a blue compliance dot that turns blue when it’s time to change.
How long does it take to straighten my teeth with Invisalign®?
At Eastpointe Family Dental, most men, women, and teens who opt for Invisalign® reach their goal in about a year. Dr. Solway and his associates give you an estimate of your total time needed during your consultation.
